Atlanta Braves Opening Day Roster 2010

The Braves' roster for 2010 has been specifically put together to plug the gaps of previous years and finally get the Braves over the line into the post-season. Seasoned campaigners such as Troy Glaus, Melky Cabrera and Eric Hinske join the roster, each with valuable post-season experience, whilst the rotation remains constant, save for the departure of Javier Vazquez to the Yankees. Billy Wagner brings his years of experience to the closer's role to replace Mike Gonzalez and Rafael Soriano.

Offensively, the Braves are looking specifically to Brian McCann to provide them with the power, whilst Chipper Jones, Glaus and Cabrera are to provide him with support. A big year is also expected from Nate McLouth in his first full year as a Brave, and from rookie, Jason Heyward about whom much has been written and said. Expect the Braves to be strong and push Philadelphia all the way to October.
